This is one of our favorite places to eat in Wrangell. You can usually get fresh salads like a blackened chicken or cesar salad, a variety of sandwiches, and other meals. Frequently there are specials of the day. The owner and staff are friendly, interesting, and personable like many of the locals. The prices are good too.

I love Zak's. It's me and my mom's go to place in Wrangell. The French dip is to die for. My daughter always gets a slice of their homemade cheesecake. It is a huge slice which we share. The burgers are Angus and are wonderful. James makes the buns from scratch.
James and Katherine are incredibly kind and wonderful individuals. Their genuine warmth shines through in both their cooking and the way they manage the café. They are authentic people serving delicious food. Réservez une table maintenant
Delicious hamburgers, wonderful sweet potato fries, and solid “pain pills” (peanut butter chocolate chunk cookies). Katherine and her husband were so genuinely friendly, funny, lovely people.
I enjoyed a delicious halibut wrap accompanied by fresh homemade macaroni salad on the side. It's a friendly local restaurant that I would definitely visit again. Yum!
I had the loaded potato soup in the sour dough bowl and my son had a small salad. It was very good and inexpensive.
