Hello everyone! Zankou Chicken offers some truly fantastic chicken. I highly recommend the half chicken combo. This restaurant is quite popular, so it's best to arrive early if you're planning to have lunch or dinner. There's ample parking available, but spots fill up quickly. The staff is friendly and will gladly help explain the menu items for first-time visitors. This location features a Spanish-style salsa (Pico de Gallo). It's been a while since I've come here. Great-flavored chicken garlic tztaziki-type) spread. A 1/2 chicken plate with white rice the base, healthy salad, 2 pita breads, a generous amt of hummus a small garlic spread came to $14.75 1.51 tx $16.26). Amiable cashier. Update: Came here again found the chicken to continue to be flavorful and not dry. Great same combo as noted above. New menu price signs are up the restaurant. Now: 5 stars
I usually go to the Zankou chicken in Pasadena and I know the location has great food. As Montebello comes closer to me, I decided to give him a shot. Not the same. My family and I were disappointed. The food took a long time to be served. The food was cold. We also complain about the waiting period. I don't know if the workers had a bad evening. I'm ready to shoot this place again. I hope my next visit will be better.
This place is a disappointment, and there's nothing worse than that. The chicken was as dry as the service we received from the staff, who seemed uninterested and unhelpful. It felt like we were served old food, and the chicken was extremely dry. They wouldn’t even offer us a simple refund! We usually love Zankou, but not this location. If you’re looking for a better experience, head to Pasadena or Anaheim instead.
We've been happily driving from Anaheim to Burbank, Montebello, and Hollywood for the past 23 years to visit this restaurant. My children absolutely love it, and you can never go wrong with whatever you order. The shawarma, tarna, whole chicken, and kababs are all delicious!
"I had some delicious chicken at this place! I visited for a work lunch, and my boss suggested trying the chicken kebab, and she was spot on! The chicken was incredibly tender and juicy, packed with flavor. The hummus was also tasty. I definitely plan to come back!"
