We stayed here for 8 nights after visiting Bavaria (see my other review Camping Hopfensee). Firstly I would like to stay how accommodating they were. Due to family issues we changed our booking dates before we arrived and again once in Germany, there was no problem at all. No deposits were required and we only paid for the nights we stayed. The site itself is large however many of the pitches are booked out for long stay rentals. they basically have their caravan on the pitches with semi permanent awnings. So although I thought the campsite would be over busy in August it really wasnt at all. Also the second week it really cleared out which seems to be normal in France/Germany. Our pitch was...
We're here in a cold march and we had to be squeezed into this lovely campsite in the beautiful Black Forest as it was full! The facilities are so nice, clean and warm! Info from front desk invaluable, We got a free Konus card for free travel around the Black Forest, using train bus and tram. We traveled to Freiburg and Titisee from here with ease. Baden-Baden is also easy to reach..(next time!).Friendly place, friendly people, we will come again :)
For it being located at a camping site on one side and serving as a Swimming Pool Cafetaria at the other side, the food really is quite good and they serve huge portions. Suited for Vegans and if you're Gluten free, ask for the non gluten options, which they say are prepared separately. Service is a bit on the slow side at times, especially when it's pool weather. Terrific value for money though.
We stayed here in April this year on our way thru the Black Forest.Perfectly placed near the town and train station so great if you want to hop on one and visit Titisee (A MUST) or Freiburg and the Munster.Great amenities on the site,really clean showers and toilets and laundry area.Friendly and helpful staff.Would highly recommend the site and will definitely return there in the future
Actually, I haven't given any rating until today, but here I have to get rid of one. I want to cook on the campsite. Mr. Merryly made me a line through the bill. Five times we were there in a week. Cod Bleu (2x, because so delicious), turkey carving with champions, Mediterranean beef bowl, self-made fish rod etc. And super nice attentive services. Absolutely recommended.
We were staying at the campsite, arrived late, and so had a meal in the restaurant. The meal was excellent and the desert, which was some sort of sliced apple pizza was to die for. The service was excellent, especially the waitress, Alexandria. Alexandria was able to explain the menu to us in English and ensured everything was as expected.
We were at the Southwest Bus meeting in Kirchzarten and have all eaten together in Mr. Fröhlich. Great ambience, very friendly and friendly staff and particularly delicious food!! I had carved with pommes and salad, it was also made a small part on request. RECOMMENDATIONS!
