My family and I had a TERRIBLE experience at Ze's Diner in Woodbury. We brought our 4 children to this (what we thought) a nice diner that would be something different for us. We first called to see how busy they were and no one picked up the phone. We drove to the diner and when we arrived, there were only 2 other tables with people. Quite confusing why the phone went attended. Next, while we were waiting for our food, our kiddos were going crazy and this diner does not provide any coloring menu or crayons for kiddos to keep them busy. Lacking serious attention to detail regarding cleanliness. Had been here 4 years ago and had a positive experience but I 'm leaving a new review because I wouldn 't choose to eat here again. I had the apple fritter french toast, which tasted like plain french toast with emphasis on the eggs. The scrambled eggs were fine, as were the hash browns. I 'd liken the quality to Perkins or IHOP. I didn 't use any syrup because it looks very questionable. It was very cloudy and there was some kind of gross build-up inside the container. First time with my Niece and the experience was just amazing. Waitress was very polite, big smile and understanding. Food was absolutely fabulous, nice portions and the prices for a meal is just right. Love the classic burger with bacon added on, asked for medium and received medium, fries was perfect. My niece loves the Ze’s Slam, said everything about it was very good. BBQ chicken wings is tinder and to my surprise it has a nice crunch as well. The cook can definitely cook, that’s for sure. Really enjoyed the classic theme environment and classic music. Would definitely come back.
The food was very good and fresh. The Reuben was delicious, featuring fresh bread, but I would have liked a bit more meat for the $12 price. The onion rings were excellent. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere felt a bit unkempt, but it wasn't concerning. My husband enjoyed a fantastic BLT, calling it wonderful, while I opted for the walleye tacos, which were also quite tasty. Due to my onion allergy, the staff was more than accommodating by providing mayo on the side instead of Ze's sauce, and it was still delicious! The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and the '50s decor was vibrant and fun without being excessive.
Fantastic burgers and the best shakes I've ever tasted—truly exceptional! We tried both breakfast and dinner dishes, and everything was delicious. I really enjoyed the atmosphere with its charming 1950s diner vibe. The service was excellent as well. It's a bit of a distance for us, but I’ll definitely return.
We went to Ze?s Diner for breakfast. Great place! The staff was very nice, the place was clean, and decorated so fun! The food was great! The waffles were nice and fluffy, sausage was seasoned well. The omelet was wonderful and the coffee was good too!Will definitely be back to try more!
