exceptional eating and service! an absolute cracker of an ortes. the food was impeccable and the service was first class. we tried to keep us eating zimbabwes to get a real feeling for it, and we were impressed. my partner is simbabwe who has led me through the options and we ordered loose; we didn't leave, it was really fantastic. I have to confess, I expected more of an open kitchen. one where you could see the braai and the food cook. I would also like to have more authentic music together with some zimbabwean employees. but the small things and they did not affect the things too much. what the dinge influenced was the less than cordial greeting when we came in, we were both a little shoc...
evening with ken forrester. really excellent experience with the wonderful ken from South Africa and his weingut in Stellenbosch. I am a great fan of his chenin blanc and this allowed me to get to know me better with his wineberg selection and discover new surprises! the offer was preselected, but perfectly complicated the wee pairings. the monkey diffraction sauce and wagyu steak was a special highlight! tonight was a special occasion, but I think they will repeat it again next year, so they look at how it will book very quickly, also by myself!
I visited this restaurant on a Saturday for a date after passing by many times. We booked a table for 9pm since it was the only slot available. We ordered starters and mains. The starters took an hour to come out - the chicken skewers were delicious but the flatbread was dry and terrible. The mains arrived about 30 minutes later and some aspects were great, but the peanut curry was bland and the accompanying rice was dry. I won't be returning again.
a very good restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere, very friendly personal and expansive menu. I really enjoyed my family the meal! the Moroccan lamb was very good, the Zimbabwe chicken was delicious and the straußsteak was great! we come back again when he will be back in the city!
