Taken there by my lovely daughter for Mother's Day Brunch. She was treating me . First of all the price had never been advertised or revealed until you were seated at your table. Pricey, pricey! Brunch consisted of a chose from list of main dishes. Daughter had her fav Eggs Benny - which seemed pretty adequate. I ordered the standard two egg/bacon entre - eggs to be done easy over - whoa! two eggs easy over alright and flat as a pancake and WELL DONE. Bacon was too fatty and served in a ball, yes a ball of a few slices. Two slices of hard tack toast. the plate was half baby fried potatoes whish I will give a high as I love them. no condiments - had to ask for catsup. the high point of this m...

I've been to Zinc a handful of times since its opening, and each time I wonder why I don't go more often. Was most recently here for dinner with a friend, and we had (for us) the luxury of being the only table in the entire restaurant this particular evening. Even so, the service was friendly, timely, and unobtrusive. We didn't have that awkward feeling of intruding on the staff or the space. We had a lovely server who definitely knew her way around the menu and wine list. We asked for some recommendations, and we were not steered wrong at all.The portions are appropriately sized and are not presented in an overly fancy way; they let the food do the talking.Prices are reasonable for this sort...

This was a great date night experience, from the ambiance to the service. Despite the mixed reviews, I have dined here twice for dinner and both times were fantastic. The service was attentive, with the Manager even helping out the server. The appetizers - Croquette for my date and Bacon cooked wild Boar - were beautifully presented and delicious. The main courses were also excellent, with my date enjoying the Smoked Chicken and myself always opting for Duck Confit whenever it's on the menu. While the Duck Confit was a bit dry in parts, it was still very tasty and accompanied well. The timing of the meal was perfect, as they didn't rush us and only brought the check when requested. We had an excellent supper here, prior to attending a function at the nearby Winspear Centre. The staff were able to accommodate us with no trouble and, despite our rather tight schedule, were able to provide us with a delicious meal in a relaxed, comfortable fashion, such that we made it to our concert with time to spare! We began with a winter vegetable salad that melded flavours beautifully along with a delicious butternut squash soup. This was followed by mushroom ragout on risotto for my wife and chicken and gnocchi for me. Both were excellent, and were complemented nicely with wine from their well-stocked cellar. All in all a lovely evening! Réservez une table maintenant

During Downtown Dining Week, I went to Zinc for the second time in my life. Zinc offered set lunch menu for Downtown Dining Week and it was priced at $15. For that price, I enjoyed a warm potato salad (appetizer) and salmon-filled perogies (entrée). There were three fried perogies on a bed of sliced cabbage accompanied by a single postage-size piece of bacon. At $15, I was satisfied with the value of my meal and it was very tasty. On the whole, I think this is an expensive restaurant relative to the portion sizes which are available on the regular menu when the same $15 does not include an appetizer.

Had brunch here recently and wasn't really impressed. There wasn't a lot of effort put into the food. The eggs were pretty average as were the potatoes. Service was average at best even though it wasn't very busy. I think you could find better choices in the area.

The food is delicious here with a changing seasonal menu. There is a decent selection of wine and they have an incredible desert menu - my favorite is the banana bread pudding! It's a favorite place to take my girlfriend on a special occasion

Prompt service,, able to carry on a conversation without competing with loud house music. Friendly and attentive staff. Home made ricotta dish and raspberry creme brûlée especially good. Good location when attending Winspear. Réservez une table maintenant

Settled in the arts district of downtown Edmonton, a great place for drinks and food while enjoying the Christmas lights of Churchill square. Enjoyed the art of the building.
