We booked based on Google reviews.we were traveling through Fenlon on the boat. On first 9impression it was a quaint older home with what appeared to be great atmosphere. The initial drink order took 20 minutes which, being a long weekend was ok. We ordered apps. Grilled calamari, mussels and warm olives. The olives were delicious. The one small piece of calamari was not grilled and raw in the middle. Out of the 20 or so mussels at least 5 mussels were closed and left in bowl and was a watery flavorless sauce. My husband and I discovered this little gem of a place a few years back and loved our first meal so much that we booked again for the next night. Now every time we come back we book back to back nights because the food really is amazing and the staff are so lovely and welcoming.. we’ve told our friends who have cottages near by… we just love the whole Ziraldos experience… it’s old school wholesome and tasty meals. I’ve read a few negative reviews here and I’ve got to say it would only be left by someone who needs a new attitude more than just a good meal to fix their life. Keep in mind this is the little restaurant that could..with just a few staff…in a little town that often gets over flowe...
We had a delicious, relaxing and enjoyable dinner at Ziraldo's. The food was amazing and they have a lovely wine list for those who enjoy a tasty bottle with their meal.Our table enjoyed the beautiful ambiance on the veranda and loved the cozy blankets and heaters. Our group had delicious appetizers, steak, the fish special and yummy deserts.The service was top notch and the owner came to our table to see we were comfortable and enjoying our meal. After reading some favorable reviews, we decided to take a drive and give this restaurant a try. While not everything was negative, my main course was quite disappointing. I ended up feeling unwell about two hours later. To make matters worse, I called the restaurant the next day when they opened, leaving a message for the manager or owner since I felt this was an urgent matter. Three hours later, I still had not received a call back. For a restaurant with such a high rating, this is inadequate service in my opinion. To add to the experience, the couple next to us had to return their mussels due to a terrible odor. It seems like the chef might be trying to use up old ingredients. Réservez une table maintenant
Ziraldo's is a hidden gem. I was there a couple years back with family visiting, we sat on the patio. The three of us felt like we were in a different place in the world (Tuscany). The food was delicious, I have Celiac Disease and they have gluten free choices available, the pasta was mouth watering. I have very fond memories of my 1st experience at Ziraldo's and won't be my last. Top Notch all around!Vegetarian options: I have Celiac Disease and they have Gluten free options.
Have been coming here with our family for years now. One of our favourite spots! The food is amazing, service is friendly. Atmosphere is perfect we know they are moving but love the old home vibe with the front porch and cute patio.Recently, they hosted a dinner for us with half our wedding guests the night before our wedding. We had the whole patio to ourselves was such a perfect night! Can’t wait to come back.
