Some clueless person on the phone messed up my pizza order, even after I had to repeat my order THREE TIMES. And when someone asks for HALF a salad, don’t sell me a whole one; now half of it is just going to be wasted. A SINGLE PERSON clearly orders HALF a salad!
Until they can show me they no longer hire incompetents, I think it’s time to explore some of the many other pizza places nearby. I usually spend about $40 to $50 on my orders two or three times a month, but they clearly don’t deserve my money.
Oh, and when I called to complain? They offered me empty platitudes and money off my next order. HA! Sorry, but there won’t be a next order. What if I had been allergic to tomatoes instead...
The management is disorganized, and the staff—mostly young kids—seem unsure of what they're doing. I went in to pick up my order, and after waiting for 13 minutes, they told me they never received it. They said it would be ready in another 6 minutes, but after an additional 15 minutes of waiting, they told me they were just starting to make it. They clearly lack proper direction, and while it's a busy place, the management needs to implement better strategies for handling the crowd. I'm very disappointed.
This pizzeria has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere and was quite accommodating of the board games Meetup event I attended here despite it being Christmas Eve. Everyone enjoyed the pizza as well. They are somewhat limited in terms of vegan options, though. I would love to see Zorba's offer some vegan slices! It would make my vegan heart melt like dairy free cheese!
Stayed at 1550 hotel across street and got a to go order of wings Greek salad. Walked over early and food was ready but wish I ate in. Place had a good vibe and was comfortable with a nice bar to sit at. Saw a pizza come out of the oven that looked amazing-great looking crust!!! Our Zorba wings were hit fresh with a tasty sauce. If I’m in this area I’m coming back.

The food's not great, IMO, but I have friends who dig their pizza. I did like the pub atmosphere and the staff were really chill. Looks like someone hosts a board game Meetup group here on alternating Sundays and I think that's really cool. I like that the management is chill with that. They have a small arcade near the entrance.
I visited Zorbas for some fettuccine alfredo. The taste was fantastic, but I was charged an additional five dollars for just three pieces of broccoli. The service was below average.
I love visiting Zorba's Pizza every chance I'm in the area. Great food, not just the pizza. The staff have always been kind and prompt. Great place for families!
Zorba's is an icon of San Mateo County. Can't get better than them. We've lived here for all our lives, and remember Zorba's as teenagers if not longer.
