I get the impression that this couple has been here for quite a while, because they have an air of guardedness or skepticism...that we didn't feel anywhere else in Offenburg. I'm sorry they have had bad experiences, but if they were more open or friendly, I would rate them higher. We travelled on the Regional Express train from Villingen to Offenburg. This a very nice town! With it being around 17:00, we were looking for a nice dinner place. At the center of the pedestrian zone is the Information Center. I went in to ask...for German recommendations. They offered two places. One being the Zum Andres. We all had salads. One was with chicken and the other two were vegetarian. The salad size was of great proportion. They have menus in German and French. There is no English.

Came to Offenburg with Dance World Cup. Over our 11 day stay in Offenburn, we managed to dine at this restaurant 4 times! When we had free time to eat out, this was the place we went. The staff, which seems to be family run,...were so happy and pleasant. Helpful with my lack of German. The food was incredible, so fresh and flavoursome. The salads especially and the meat were top notch. 5 review.

We ate here on a wednesdayevening after a day of driving. The ambiance was like to expect in a nice local restaurant. The staff was kind and the food was good. Nothing very special tough but with a great price quality ratio. Even got to take...a Jack Daniels glass!
Great lovely local pub with German atmosphere. Small and intimate with great service. Lots of beer on tap. Food is excellent and affordable with German flair. Location is in the pedestrian zone of the shopping region.

Went for an evening meal. Although the meals cost us euro, they were very tasty. We had a large salad starter, followed by two main courses, two small beers and a bottle of water. Not expensive for Germany.
I visit regularly here! I often talk to the owner. it's a really nice place. only what I don't understand is why they close from 2 to 5 on the afternoon. Apart from that. fantastic!
