The UNICORN is probably one of the most delightful places to enjoy typically German food at its best. Located near the entrance to Old Bonames, you have to really look for the entrance. Parking nearby is difficult. (I'm purposely trying to be obscure in the hopes that few people bother to check it out.) They make their own apple wine, outstanding! My favorite "Vorspeisen" is the anchovy bread, "Sardellen Brot." If you like anchovies, it's fantastic and worth a trip for that alone! Everything's good, but "deftig" (filling!) last Saturday we were too hospitable in the 'einhorn' in bonames and overall we liked it very well. friendly staff, nice ambiente in a grounded restaurant with long tradition. eating was quite ok, but did not convince me personally: the bratkartoffeln were very dry and hard and were almost unhurried. my chopbread was tasty, but for my taste something too hard in the consistency (maybe you should make it a bit looser with a few soaked rolls.) as an appetizer I took a hand cheese: it tasted very good to me: delicious marinade, mild wobbles and a totally delicious piece of building. total the unicorn gets from me 4 stars.
here you don't know what's wrong: apple wine or aperol splash; dorade or matjes; filet or hacksteak; green sauce or ? the card is much too big and different. to the hacksteak were the pfifferlings fresh, to the jägerschnitzel the champignons were unfortunately from the dose - at least they tasted so - and the sosse without taste. for such a rustic local I would like to have a small card that fits to frankfurt and apple wine. I personally was not so happy. but you have to mention a super nice and cheerful service!

yesterday evening with friends in the unicorn in bonames. the ambiente is very rustic with a beautiful garden area to sit. the green sauce is simply not too top and whether classic or with a frankfurter carving (it also gives it unpaned) simply has to. the apfelwein is still produced here and there is still a mistletoe for the conclusion.The price list is correct and the service is always nice
yesterday evening again a great local discovered. down town in bonames. old, rustic, cuddly. great beer garden, appealing shop. the kitchen is German. had a filet - was exactly fried. beautiful rose and delicate. the salat was discreetly seasoned and matched. the bratkartoffeln fried lush and cross. like at home.

If you like traditional and good food. you should come here and it's perfect if it's warm enough to sit outside and forget the world for just one or two hours. Service was quick and friendly :)
