We have been regular guests at the Wirthaus zum Fegerer for over 15 years. Here you can get real Franconian cuisine with fresh and regional ingredients at a fair price. When we go shopping from Frankfurt to Wertheim Village on the weekend, a visit to Fegerer on the way back is a must but without a reservation weeks in advance, nothing works on a Saturday evening. The classics have been the same for years we particularly recommend the Viennese veal schnitzel and the turkey medallions with spaetzle. I had dinner with friends in September 2016 at Zum Fegerer, the atmosphere is quiet and calm, there's many dinning rooms in a wide house. The employees are very nice and kind, they smile, joke and make effort to understand foreigners.Regarding food, there's lot of different choises, and speciallities with "chanterelle mushrooms". Plates are full.My concerns is about "tartare" : I ate (hate ?) one as main course and it was the worse I had ever eaten. No taste, no worcester sauce, no pepper and a bad quality of the beef.So it's a very nice place... if you keep german specialities.

I visited this restaurant again a few night ago, and I can confirm my first review of the place. the staff are very friendly, and the food was excellent. I had the potato soup and the Argentinian rump steak, which was of a very high quality. We had 10 people in our party, and everyone enjoyed the food and the experience. the staff are very friendly, efficient and helpful. this restaurant has been the highlight of my visit, and I will not hesitate to go back next time I'm in town, and I can totally recommend it to you.

Wir waren am 7. Mai zu einer privaten Feier mit 7 Personen in diesem Lokal. Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend. Nach einem kurzen Augenblick bekamen wir bereits die Speisenkarte. Kurz darauf wurden die Getränke notiert, welche wir von der freundlichen Bedienung auch kurze Zeit später erhielten. Die sieben bestellten Gerichte waren alle sehr lecker und auch sehr schön angerichtet. Hierher kommt man sehr gerne wieder Réservez une table maintenant

This eatery came recommended from a coworker local to the area. It was a nice walk from my hotel (12min) and all I can say is WOW! Great service, friendly and efficient, excellent food - try the schnitzel, outstanding, and the recommended kellerbier is fantastic. Overall, highly recommend for anyone looking for a great dinner at reasonable prices with great German ambience.

Zum Fegerer is nice and warm place to eat good. Especially cellar in downstairs is good place to spend time even with bigger crowd. Food is excellent; try garlic cream soup, it is so good! Service is also excellent and you feel welcomed!
