Was wandering the streets of Salzburg with no dinner plans. Saw a cute, small patio and decided to give it a try. So glad we did. The service was so nice - friendly ladies in traditional Austrian address. Very good local dishes including a fresh vegetable soup, mushroom tart, and a delicious strudel! Enjoyed a private label wine from the hotel a door or two down. If you want really good food in a relaxed spot, try it!

I stayed at the Goldener Hirsch just next door to Herzl restaurant.I had a nice dinner there. The service was very friendly.The ambiance of the restaurant felt like a very distant era -- from the interior design, the warm lighting and the old furniture.You feel like you are brought back to a hundred years ago!

We enjoyed this place so much that we visited twice on our two days in Salzburg. Very traditional restaurant with a cosy feel and friendly waitresses. We could not fault the food and had 3 course meals each time. It's packed with locals and always fully booked so very enjoyable. Don't miss this place!

Had an evening meal here an found the food to be really tasteful and reasonable priced. The service was great, and quick, from the staff who wore traditional dress. If your in Salzburg this place is well worth a visit..

We were there for lunch. Service was nice and quick. My wife found the menu limited. I enjoyed my filet pork.
