Other great days in the Monschau with dinners and drinks at Zum Haller. Marco Jacqueline are like extended family and Marco always calls ENGLAND when we get through the door. Service and atmosphere amazing, eating and drinking amazing, a visit is required when you are in Monschau. We have been and Lilia has always had a photo with Marco to see how much she has grown from the previous year. This year Marco cheats. I'm looking forward to next year. More than twenty years after my first visit to Monschau, I was excited to bring the family here. We had a short walk around town and then decided to have dinner here. We were at the restaurant when they opened for evening service and were lucky to get a table because they were fully booked for the evening. We ordered two schnitzel, a pizza and chicken nuggets for the kids. Standard German “kneipe” food. Tasted good and the drinks were nice and cold. The staff was friendly and joking with the kids. All in all a nice visit.
It is true that we had not made reservations before, as we arrived in Monschau late this day for a one-night stay. Based on comments and recommendations, we thought to check the hall first. We appreciate the fact that the place was crowded and the lady was busy (we couldn't find another person? , still she has shown the last place where we can sit abruptly and unwillingly. We also have to press at a table with another 6 people. Finally we landed in another place near a friendly environment and great food.
