We go to Zum Rad every few years, when visiting our old home town. This year we stayed two nights and both days we dined at our favorite restaurant. Seems that the staff had changed from 2012, but still the way the serve is excellent....No bad words about that. The menu is very extensive and provides good appetisers, excellent main courses and delightful desserts. Wine list is of course concentrated on Italy, but should cater for the majority of tastes. I was travelling alone and wanted an inexpensive meal in a nice place. What I got was just that, but with the addition of very nice, friendly staff and a chef who obviously knows how to make a tasty pizza a little bit tastier than...usual. It wasn't fine dining, but that's not what I was looking for. Another good thing about it is that its in a cobbled square where other cafes and restaurants have tables out in the evening, so it's good for people-watching. It has a vaguely Mediterranean atmosphere, casual and nice. The dry house red was pretty drinkable too.
Thanks to Trip Advisor reviews, my wife and I decided to try Zum Rad on a Saturday evening. The Brushetta appetizer was one of the best we've ever had. Really fresh and delicious. We both had soup and pizza as well. Our waiter was friendly,...attentive, and efficient. Overall, I'd say the food was very good. Next time I'll try something other than the pizza, as everything else I saw being served gave me food envy. Good wine selection. Fair prices. We'll definitely go again.

My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant for many years, and we have since moved back to Stuttgart to enjoy one of our favorite restaurants again after 4 years. Nothing has changed, the food is still incredible, the service equally amazing, and the...prices fair across the board for exceptional quality meals!
can not believe that we go dinner without reservation with all special occasions. even faster service and super tasty eating. we had the seafood pasta and a season special pizza. the pizza was perfect and pasta super delicious. recommend this place. the others. follow me and see all my reviews.
My husband and I went to eat here one evening, and I must say, atmosphere was quite pleasant and romantic. The meal was a little overpriced, and did not care for my drink that they called orange juice . It tasted like Tang with carbonation. I...probably will not go there again if I in the area.
This Italian restaurant is excellent. It is run by Italians so the dishes are authentic.The prices are reasonable, both for food and drink, and the wine list is good. We enjoyed it so much, we dined there two nights in succession.
