Had lunch on a hot day in the beer garden. Prices as you'd expect for a lakeside venue, a short and traditionally Bavarian menu and the portion sizes were generous. The food was fine, came quickly even though it was busy. However, there were zero...obvious Covid measures taken. I didn't see any staff member wearing a mask despite the current regulations, no hand sanitizer at the entrance, no guest contact details taken or app check-in offered, and laminated menus passed around directly between customers on different tables without any cleaning. My wife and I wanted to try a traditional German menu and the Haden with sauerkraut and was very disappointed. The grill Haxen was dry snd hard and I couldn’t even bite through the skin or cut the meat from the bone. Once I notified...the waitress and told her that I couldn’t eat it because it was too hard, she committed”You have to eat the meat and not the bone!” And insisted that it was supposed to be like that. That was not my first Haxen and you should be able to pull the meat away from the bone with just a fork. I assumed it was leftover from the day before.
We wandered into this restaurant for lunch as it had a nice view of the lake. We sat up on the patio under an umbrella, as we thought the biergarten was for drinks only. Our waiter was nice and the food came out fast. Food...was average and a bit pricey, but that is expected in a tourist area such as this. My potato pancakes with applesauce were okay and my guys liked their sausages. My one son's fries tasted horrible, like they had freezer burn. Again, you are paying for the view here more than anything else.

The only thing that can be given a star here is the location, you can sit right on the lake and enjoy the view. The food quality and taste though was average. We ordered a chicken breast salad, Currywurst with fries and...a grill plate. The salad and Currywurst were okay, however the grill plate just did not impress us at all. Would go again for the location and only to have a beer.
This restaurant was the only one that opened until pm, we walked around pm and no restaurants opened but fortunately we found this! We were very satisfied with the service and the food. Recommended food : mix grill and Windbeutel (as dessert). They...have Biergarten with a beautiful view of the lake for summer time.
The clear soups are briliant, based on Bavaresse quisine. Ask for “the Bergfeuer” shot... three pcs will be nice on a cold weather day. A little more expensive than other restaurants, but for a wild park area this is ok. We fully recomend it!
When the weather is good, this beergarden is the perfect location for a drink. The restaurant inside is rustic but welcoming. The service is friendly and prompt. Food however is average if not mediocre. Overall, slightly too expensive.

beautiful architecture of this very place. food was average. the ambiance by lake koenigssee is the bonus to this area that you simply don't focus on the quality of the food but ambiance.
we had time before the boatour. staff is friendly despite the lots of tourist they have to serve all day long. the bayrische brotzeit and the hefeweizen where execellent.
