"Operation....he tried, but not exaggerated friendly. At dinner some nice ideas, but the execution wasn't ripe. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't too sharp. For me it looked like a lack of personnel when the cook himself brings the dishes and clarifications, he cannot be in his area of kitchen. Next year there is a second attempt."

We had accidentally discovered the restaurant through a sign near the old lighthouse on our bike tour and immediately reserved for the next night. (High season Der Weibl. Service was very friendly. Gruss from the house was on the way: fresh bread with delicious lace. The very friendly boss Mr. Kortmann also came to our table and introduced us the daily dishes, very great, that shows that he has interest in his guests. We've met very positively and appreciated. The dish with steak strips (fried at the point and noodles with exotic spices was super spicy. At the Ceasar salad, my change request (without bacon was simply implemented. The appetizer grilled eggplants with almonds was delicious. After that I had crunchy sweet potatoes with guavacomole, delicious! The organic lemon ginger lemonade from the different beverage card was great, I didn't know the variety yet. The menu also had the history of sturdy pigeons in advance, was exciting to read. The dessert raspberry sorbet with cream bread we found just delicious. For children there is an extra pirate children's card. It was for us tastefully the best restaurant during our vacation on Borkum and we had tried many! Who cares about delicious and quality food is here! p.S. We cannot understand the bad reviews here in the portal of July 2022. We like to come back. (The robust Dungeon reminded us of our restaurant in our hometown, where the boss sometimes comes to the tables in between, among other things there are very good tastes, just like in the robust Dungeon.

The interior has iconic 80s charm and there are meat and fish at the dishes. The boss has taken up the order itself and is not a problem for additional wishes and speciality. At Steak there are not only 3 but 5 (6 chefs). I chose the Zander on vegetable rice and am thrilled by the Wasabi crust and the Chili peel in vegetable rice. This gives the fish dish a special touch. As an appetizer there was a delicious Mediterranean tomato soup with cheese slices. The grey Burgundy rounded off the food. Another possibility is the own composition of meat, vegetables, supplements, sauces and dips. Or combine the appetizers tapas to a meal. Friendly service therefore includes 5 points.

We have reserved a table for 5 people on the terrace. On our arrival, this was occupied by family members, so we were offered a 4 table for 5 adults, which was much too close. Thus we have taken place in the restaurant, in very warm, sunny weather. The food was OK up to the paella, which had nothing to do with the original. As compensation, we haven't even been offered coffee or anything else. Our condition worked very denervt and stressed and that when laying 3 tables.

From one we try, it was almost a 6 days enjoyment Abo, only interrupted by the Monday rest day, which appetizer, which main course or which dessert we also chose it was simply a true palate! The absolute highlight was the fish paella with a fantastic risotto. Yes, there are artificial tulips, but they had no significance for us in view of the service, friendliness and especially the cooking of Mr Kortmann.
