Die Speisekarte bietet leckere Speisen in einer tollen Auswahl....auch mal was anderes als sonst üblich....Steaks sind super! We stayed in Hochheim for almost two weeks and explored most of the restaurants there. Wagenrad was one of our favorites with great food and drinks. The staff is very friendly and speaks English. We went there on a nice day and the Biergarten offers great shade from the hot sun.

Friendly staff, good large portions and great wine. Be sure to make reservations in the Winter. Outdoor dining in the summer has a bit more room. Right next door to several other excellent restaurants Zum Wagenrad is consistently a wonderful place for dinner.

Das Lokal ist gemütlich, hat gutes Essen und im Sommer einen Biergarten. Da ich aber eher ein Freund des Rotweines bin (nicht unbedingt aus Deutschland), gibt es in Hochheim andere Adressen

"After a two and a half hour tour on the Rhine in the sports boat we decided to finish the day with an evening meal in the hot vicinity of the bootslounge. our last visit is already good a year ago, so this one is quite a new evaluation. because my smartphone has stayed at this tour too, unfortunately there are no photos, so much ahead. for first impressions please visit the homepage: [here link]. to the hurdle it is said that the gas house was mentioned only in 1870 and therefore the oldest in gustavsburg is operated without interruption gas house. Today it is a popular excursion destination from april to october for cyclists and fleees who like to starve in one of the most beautiful beer gardens and thirst. the beer garden offers about 50 people space, the dining room in summer, when the beer garden is open, remains estimated 30 people. the menu contains small foods such as strammer max. etc., various flocty cakes, dishes for children, salat variations, carving and rumpsteak dishes, putensteaks and sweet desserts. on the hot Friday evening we then beat until the fifth in the beer garden and a correspondingly large table. immediately we were kindly greeted by the female service force with I am right with them! the same did not last long, we knew what we wanted to choose the three old alkfrees, the juvenile cola. the beer costs 3.30 (0.5l), the cola beats with 2.80 (0.4l). after a short waiting period, the well-cooled beverages were well-launched by friendly damm and then the delivery order was added. we chose once the salat plate with roasted brush chest stripes (8,50) twice tweetser small with bratkartoffel and beilagen salad each 7.50 and twice frames large with pommes and supplemental salad each 9.80 the mandel was served quite flott, unfortunately the last year of quality lost, only head saliva, carrots and celery stripes dress from the glass, the two who had ordered the frame carvings in large did not make their part and the meat remains packed. the soße was comfort, but it has tasted edible and is also suitable for a beer garden. my favorite carving in small was the right choice, because it was still great enough to get fed with the very delicious bratkartoffels. the lashes were also the very tasty art. to eat 3,* the supplement salate and the sauce prevented the full partitur. from this reason only 4.5* cleanliness there was nothing to complain, only the toilets are a bit busy and tiny, good sense 4*. the service service was friendly, fleissig and always well launched 4* closing: more beautiful we could hardly let the Friday night finish!"
