Thanks to the staff... We had little time (45min and still build our leadership on time... Perfect service... Well to the little manko. The pricing is certainly due to the location. But... if we already order a salad for 15€... Can't the plate be filled? Half a serving for 15€ as a salad is already fat I have to say... otherwise... Your sauces are perfect, also in combination with home maker dishes. (study with roast potatoes Perfect and again, thank you...
We went for a dinner in Zum weissen Schwan. The terrace is nicely situated next to Goethes home. In the evening we went for dinner, there was far too little staff. Although the staff did their very best, they could not compensate for the shortage...of staff. It took too long for taking the orders. It also resulted in Fawlty Towers like situations, such as our meals being served at another table. The quality of the meals is ok, not special, but also not bad.
Wir waren mit einer großen Reisegruppe im Restaurant, wurden sehr schnell mit Getränken versorgt und ausgesprochen schnell und freundlich bedient! Der Salat war knackig, der Hauptgang mit Fleisch und Kartoffeln schmackhaft. Positiv überrascht hat uns der Nachtisch! Hübsch angerichtet war das ein Highlight! Eine durchaus bürgerliche Küche. Die Bedienung war überaus flott und immer freundlich!
We ate there in the evening, early October. The menu is traditional German. I ate Goulash with Thüringer Klößen. My wife's beef shop. The food was excellent. The service friendly. It seems to be the oldest restaurant in Weimar. Eben Goethe, Cranach and Bach have eaten alongside a whole range of important personalities. The facility is traditional and very cozy. The restaurant is located next to the Goethe’s Wohnhaus on the Frauenplan. The history of the Gasthaus goes back more than years, and Goethe himself was a frequent guest here. The food is traditional and regional Thuringia food, and we had a good lunch...with excellent beer.
Able to get a table outside here on a busy Saturday night. Pleasant efficient service. Not a great variety of dishes and nothing particularly inspiring. Decent food, but I would not make an effort to return. Strangely all the beer on tap was Bavarian, not...local.
Good and friendly service. Cosy place that invites even after dinner. Local cuisine at high prices, which is probably the tourist interest of this small town. But: recommended.

This old restaurant has prime position om=n the square next to Goethe's House and Museum. Good local menu and attentive staff.
