It all started whenI arrived and they didn't even have my booking. They contacted Expedia and then said that it wasn't paid for and I would have to pay for the room. Being in a foreign country and a small town I sucked it up and paid, almost $500 for 5 days. When I got into the room it was hot and stuffy and had no A/C, no fan and no breeze was blowing. The day was hot and muggy and the room was sweltering. The restaurant only served breakfast and there was no eatery nearby but the owner pointed to a gas station across the street and said that I could find food there. The next day it was so hot that I decided to check out since I had found another motel about a mile away that provided breakfast and was close to some diners. When I went to check out I was told the owner was gone for the weekend and that I couldn't check out until Monday. I left anyway rather than spend another day in the hot, stuffy room and decided to take it up with my credit card company. When I did arrive home I found that Expedia did charge me for the room and that essentially they were going to charge me twice for the room. The owners should be jailed for the scam they are running and the hotel burned down.
