On penetrating the rather uninviting exterior of this restaurant one reaches a spacious, high-walled garden that is just perfect for dining on a hot June evening. (There also appeared to be a large indoor area for other times of the year.) The cuisine is French but with a slightly spicy North African tendency, rather than classic French. Not my preference, I will admit, but more to my wife's, and it made a change. In any case the food was enjoyable, as was the 500ml bottle of Rosé that washed it down, (And 500ml can be enough for two, when 750ml would be too much. Nor was one obliged to have three courses, if one didn't wish.) The service was good and we certainly would give it another visit.
