Gustave Réserver une table

Because most restaurants were closed for the afternoon, we looked for a simple snack bar. We ended up at Gustave. I took a tartare and my partner a "tarte". Both lacked any taste.

We happened on this restaurant for lunch and it was a delightful surprise. Its all homemade and they are very proud of that fact.. We tried the caillettes maison which we had never had and they were excellent. Very friendly staff

The portions are generous and food is interesting and even creative, to some extent. Imagine a Hot Dog with caramelized onions, ham, Parmesan, medium done minced beef and home made sauce... or a Gaspacho, tasting like nowhere else. Everything is reasonably priced.The gentleman attending us was extremely friendly and had a great sense of humor.A picturesque setting is also worth mentioning- outdoor seating area is on the beautiful medieval square.The only down point is plastic flowers on the tables - should be real ones.

The absolute BEST croissants I have ever tasted! Fresh from the oven... So wonderful.... I Can't even describe them adequately. Highly recommend Gustave when in Avignon!

Sunny outside seating on a beautiful day. We ordered the Set breakfast but it was too late. We hadn't realised so we settled for just coffee. Delicious, served in lovely cups. Delightful staff. Perfect on a sunny day

We wish we could have stayed longer - or returned! We had light plates that were very satisfying and every item of food was perfect.

A friend and I stopped here for lunch. We had a cheese platter and a charcuterie platter, intending to have them to start while we considered main courses, and I have to admit I failed to finish the generous cheese platter, delicious though it was.They serve local wines by the caraffe - we tried the rose and red and enjoyed them.

We stopped here during an organised day trip to Avignon. We stumbled upon the restaurant just outside the main tourist area and thought it looked like a good spot for a light lunch before rejoining the tour. The food was good, and satisfying, which is exactly what we needed with most of our dinners in France being quite rich. Our waiter did not speak any English but was very understanding of our limited French and did the best that he could. After seeing others with it I couldn't resist getting a tiramisu for dessert which was phenomenal!
