Pretty standard fare, majoring on pizzas, pastas, some meat dishes including duck, plus kids menus. Best thing about the place was being able to eat out in their walled patio, which was great given the hot weather. Food was OK but not much more. Service was perfectly adequate, and prices were reasonable.
A chaming "shop front" gave way to a large interior. A fine selection of meals, including "british child friendly"-not fish fingers either.Traditional and contempary food, served in a relaxing atmosphere by pleasant staff and nothing was a problem.The host came and asked if everything was okay and he made changes to a dessert because of the occasion- a birthday!Go visit, tell him I sent you it was a great evening and really good value for money :D
So plat du jour 12 euros seems fine. Basically steak and chips. Steak over cooked for medium, chips fine, green salad with dressing okay. No condiments offered. Nice location but fairly average on the whole. Plenty to choose from in the town so don't rush to the first place you see.
We were not expecting much as we selected this restaurant, slightly off the main tourist drag, and with a sign inviting us to go to the garden out the back. However, it was worth taking the risk. Staff were polite, efficient, and best of all, the food was tremendous. I had a Calzone goats cheese pizza with a magret salad, thereby bypassing any reasonable holiday calorie intake. Nourished like a king I was. The garden lacked a bit of light, covered with large umbrellas, but this did not detract from the experience. The cafe gourmand's were good too.
