so if she is the French cuisine anno 1980’ies, then la taverna is to go her place. with other words: eating is good, dated that it is almost ticky. where the restaurant le tandem around the corner understands the modern French cuisine and the quality, lightness and curiosity that follows, la taverna seems to be stuck in the heavy old French cooking tradition. if they order osso-buco from lamb with orange, their companions order dateit de boeuf or entre-côte, the clothing is exactly the same. well made pois mange-tous and carrots, filled mushrooms and carrots. the difference is only flesh and heavy. this makes the kitchen quick and there are no long wait for eating, even if the restaurant was full. but a good eating experience is the sacrifice. the pizzas were good and crispy, but the foie grass were overcooked and dry. the waitress was sweet, even if her English did not exist. all in all a low-to-media experience and we do not expect us to come back, especially with le tandem around the corner.
