Our host was very friendly and helped us decipher the menu, our French is not so good, but we try. Both myself and my partner got the cod fritters with dip to start (spicy, spicy, hot, hot - which our host kindly informed us of beforehand). I then had the sausage with spices and Gordon had the curried Lamb. All of the dishes we had were very tasty. I think we'll try to get back there for dinner one night before we head home. We would both recommend a visit if you are ever in the area.

Very attentive host and prompt service from the kitchen. Today's menu sounded very tasty. The execution didn't measure up to that promise, however.

Came to Becherel for a short visit and ended up stopping for lunch. The owner was very warm and speaks English well (our French is non-existent). Tasty and relaxing lunch with dessert and coffee. If you're nearby it's a lovely little place!

La Part des Anges. A friendly welcome from the likeable host, good service and a nice atmosphere, but we felt the food (main course a stuffed vegetable I couldn’t identify) really needed something in the way of spice or seasoning to make it more interesting. Since this was supposedly a creole bistro, I didn’t expect it to be dull.

Just by the church in Becharel, the restaurant was one of the few open on a Monday lunchtime but was a good choice for a casual lunch. A limited menu was available. and three of our number opted for a larger portion of a starter for the main course. Absolutely no problem, obviously home made and enjoyed. Just two main courses were on offer and one, chicken in a vanilla sauce, was different and the sauce was tasty. With a carafe of drinkable wine and a couple of soft drinks the bill for four was around 50 euros and was pretty good value for money. The owner was friendly and had a few interesting pieces decorating the restaurant

When in Brittany we always call in for lunch. You are made to feel special with the very warm welcome from the owner, that includes our chien. We make sure we arrive early as it is filled to capacity very quickly. The food has an eastern twist, with some very hot chillies as an addition. The prices are very good .We both look forward to returning in April.

We came to La Part des Anges this past summer (July) as a family with three children who don't like spicy food. Olivier was really nice to the kids and gave us good advice as to what best to eat. We all very much enjoyed our dinner and the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant. It is a great place. It might be a good idea to reserve seats, though, as the place was packed, and we had the impression that there were several local people there who were well known to the owner - they probably come there often. Not surprisingly, as I'd definitely do the same if I lived around there. Price-quality ratio is excellent! But the nicest thing is: the day after we had been there, I discovered that I had forgotten my sunglasses at the restaurant. As we were no longer in the region and couldn't backtrack and given that I was emotionally attached to those sunglasses (even though they weren't really worth anything, moneywise that is), I decided to e-mail Olivier. And he was so nice as to send them to my home address in Belgium! So heartwarming to see that there are nice people who go through the trouble of carefully wrapping my lost treasure and taking it to a post office out of town to send it to me! I very much recommend La Part des Anges to anyone visiting the region, and will definitely be back myself one day (hopefully soon) - for me this restaurant is definitely worth a detour!

This was an extremely pleasant experience. We were very well welcomed by the owner and proceeded to have a delicious lunch. Do not be deterred by the small menu. Really interesting food beautifully served and the dessert was bread lightly fried in butter, soaked in I think Ameretto and then passionfruit added - amazing. We definately go back when next in Becherel on a book buying trip. And I will improve my french I promise!!!
