Since the recent renovations the food and atmosphere is much better at Ventillo. in doing so it has lost some of the grungy messy fun bar vibe though perhaps the tradeoff was needed for the new owners. The food is american style bar food but done pretty well. It's still very french but in a small town its one of the better places to go for a casual drink and a quick bite.
Dropped by for lunch and had an amazing duck salad with asparagus and glass of freshly squeezed orange juice.A fantastic little selection of chocolate and coffee dessert followed by an espresso afterwards.Lovely ladies working there and a super cool atmosphere with some great rock and blues music setting the mood.Liked it a lot!
Veg burgers and black rider burgers stone cold sent back and still came cold . I must add eventually !!! Paid full price. Went here a year ago and was fab even got sticker on our car which will not stay anymore . Such a shame gone so far down hill. Whatever happened to good service and food?
Called in fancying a few small tapas snacks and ordered three to share between two people and wow - mahoosive portions and great value (The Jambon de Pays was devine). We were stuffed! This washed down with a chilled Carmargue rosé wine which was very nice too. Good prices, good value, good service in the heart of the old town area of Biarritz.
