If you are in the Bonneville area for lunch, go there. Rachel speaks English well so do not hesitate to call ahead since it is a very popular place for the locals. Clean and tasteful atmosphere. They have a daily changing menu with locally grown produce. Joris and Ben do excellent work in their kitchen. Not only tastes great, but great presentation and service is quick.
Had heard good things before our visit, expectations were exceeded. Do not count on a table being free - the locals in this working town are packing the tables every lunchtime, and the happy buzz at the tables is matched by the cheerful enthusiasm of proprietors and staff. Fresh local produce daily - we were lucky enough to be there veal day, look for fresh local fish on the 2 market days in the adjacent Square.
Working in Bonneville for the day I was a bit disappointed with the apparent selection of kebab and pizza outlets the town offers, but luckily my girlfriend and I found this little brasserie thanks to TripAdvisor.Heaving with locals, it's impossible to take in the decor so we can't comment on that, but service from both staff who served us was near instant, very efficient and warm. You do get the impression that the staff care! The menu is very reasonably priced, and offers a selection of three or four dishes as part of the classic plat du jour in its own or with entrée and/or dessert formula. There is a further board with salads etc at a different price. The food arrived quickly but was of good quality and sizeable portions. Very good value at 29€ for two people including desserts.My only criticism would be about what appears to be the solitary toilet - we gave up waiting.If I'm in the area again I wouldn't hesitate to pop in but I'd recommend people needing more than two seats book in advance!
I came after they stopped serving food, and they gave me very kindly a plate of local meat and cheese as well as a pudding. it was very simple, but very appreciated and its simple answer could not have been. they had not. can be more helpful if I wanted them to thank you!
