I had a café noir in the afternoon and seen various menus around I decide I would have a meal here. I was able to get a table inside as it was rather cool for July. After a pastis I went for the menu at 38Euros, a Foie gras , a fruit de mer and plate of cheeses. I had 1/2 bottle muscadet de sevre with the seafood and a glass of Cote du Rhone with the fromage. The waiters were very efficient and helpful for example I asked for tabasco for two of the oysters ( he was straight back with it) asked for for a rthum baba as well as the menu (why not)!. The waiter told that the 1/2 crab was not available that evening but I was to have extra 3 oysters instead( ok I if have to)!. The coffee is very good served with a small meringue and a chocolate, I believe that it was the old welsh pub ( I thought the Welsh were Methodists!? ) but the decoration is subtle and gives a good ambiance, The staff were very pleasant especially the waitress. I would recommend the restaurant and will be back when on my wine trips.Ok from the downside, the carpets are very grubby (spillages)? get a carpet cleaner.
