We went there for lunch and the meal was the best one we had the entire weekend, and the prices are very decent. Veru much recommended!

We stopped for lunch here, as the menu was very reasonably priced after the 50% mark-up typical for Le Touquet. It was a busy Friday lunchtime with a mix of locals and tourists. My partner had a delicious and melt in the mouth Bœuf Bourguignon with fries and salad. I opted for moules frites à la crème, which was was a generous portion of both shellfish and French fries. Both dishes were €9.90, which I found very reasonable. With two 50cl glasses of Stella, it came to €31 overall. Delicious food, friendly staff and service with a smile. Will come again next time I'm in Boulogne-sur-Mer.

I went here on a Saturday night in August, the sun was shining on lovely rue de Lille and this place was buzzing - really busy. But we got seated immediately, the lovely waiters came and took orders and were really friendly. I had the mussels and chips and I've got to say, there were the lushest, most succulent mussels I've ever had - local of course. My partner had the turkey in mushroom sauce and says it was excellent. We also had a starter which was very good and a lovely dessert. We had the 15 Euro 3 course menu and it's excellent value. They can be a little slow to bring food out when they're really busy but that's French life, it just means you kick off your shoes, sip your wine and wait for the food to appear - the wait's not that bad its just that us Brits are so used to speed these days. Here there's no rush to move you on to get in another customer... it's time to relax.

So, picture the scene... there's 6 of us sat outside on a sunny Saturday afternoon last weekend, and we've all ordered lunch. My girlfriend's was first to come out - a chicken burger, which looked lovely. As hers was the first out, we of course all started to steal chips! She also dislikes tomatoes, so I offer a tomato removal service - which involved picking them from her salad, and then she lifted her bun to remove the top one in the burger. She noticed another below the meat, and so lifted it to allow me to pinch this too. What's the problem you may ask? Well...She starts to cut into the burger with her cutlery, at which point the female owner walks past, knocks her hands away from the burger mid-cut, and whisks the entire plate away!!!! We complained bitterly that she was in the middle of eating it, and we've handled the food, but to no avail - and she serves the half eaten food to the gentleman sat behind us!!!!There were no communications issues - her English was fine - but she did not care in the slightest. I would therefore respectfully urge future diners to check their food for bite marks, to avoid the possibility it has in fact been "pre-loved" :)On the plus side - weather was nice, and the restaurant opposite took an hour to serve the rest of our group! 26 Euros for two wasn't the best either.
