Popped in here for some lunch and had the lunch time menu for about 12 euro. I initially ordered the speciality sausage and had to return it as it was not what i thought. It tasted uncooked and not very nice. The kitchen changed my order. Apart from that, good service and reasonable prices.
Easy to find and picturesque location. We dined here on the Saturday night of a holiday weekend. The owner was attentive friendly and helpful. Also very generous as our digestivs were "on the house". Our main courses were good honest food and the desserts home made and delicious. This bistro had the atmosphere of a friendly place used by locals.We really enjoyed it, good value and we shall be be returning.
A minute's walk up the main road from the tourist restaurants of Place Dalton in central Boulogne and you can eat with local people at less than half the price in this cafe-restaurant. Good for families on a budget as you can have specialities of the day (like Parmentier- the French rival to Shepherds Pie!) as well as kid-friendly dishes like steak-frites on the budget lunch menu; only 10 Euros including very good house wine, beer or a soft drink. Simple, basic, traditional French interior, with excellent friendly service by a guy who looks like the owner-manager.
