A little bit below our expectations although quite ok. We missed something in the food but I do not know quite what.

I took a old friend to lunch. She is almost 90. The service was excellent. After our amuse bouche we had foie gras and a glass of champagne. My guest had fish with white asparagus. I had duck confit. We both had the chocolate dessert.

Good food. Menus and a la carte. Good wine. Large restaurant, inside, outside in the garden then necessary to make reservation.

I was looking forward to this meal, but it was actually rather disappointing. The mini-starter of mussel soup with sole mousse was OK, but there was too much curry in the soup so it masked the taste of the mussels. My lobster and mussel bisque...More

We had a lovely meal in this country restaurant. The room is a little dated. Service was friendly and our Franglais was sufficient. The quality of the food was excellent for the price of the fixe pris menu. Several amuse bouches were included and were delicious, as was the rest of the meal. Definitely worth a visit.

We were fortunate to get a table at this restaurant on a Monday evening when many restaurants are closed. It was suggested to us by the helpful lady in the tourist information office at Cheverny, and she was right to recommend it. We had the fixed price menu at 19.50 Euros a head which gave a choice of three or four options for each of the three courses. With a bottle of wine at 22 euros we had a delightful meal in a lovely atmosphere. Heartily recommended.

A group of four of us went out for a evening meal. The overall experience was excellent. The resturant has several fixed price menu options we all chose the three course option. The service was excellent, the food well prepared and somewhat unique and all in all a first class experience. The decor has recently been redone and there is a very nice terrace although that evening it was too cool to take advantqage of it. The price was also quite reasonable for the quality of the food and service. Reservations are recommended as the weeknight we were there it was full, including a large table of locals in what appeared to be a hosted business dinner.

We stayed in Chambord for a week and had a hard time getting a reservation at this restaurant. It was always full. The night we finally were able to get in, we were the only English speakers there and most of the patrons were known by the wait staff. The decor is a bit dismal, but they had lots of fresh flowers to liven things up.The menu was very inventive, with many game dishes, since it was hunting season in France. The food was delicious and very creative. Even with a completely full restaurant, the wait staff was very attentive and our wine glasses were always kept full. With all the hustle and bustle and the clinking of glasses it made for a very fun evening.Since we are in this area at least once a year, we'll definitely be back. I think the next time we'll make our reservations from the States before we go, so we don't get shut out.
