Initially concerned at the change of ownership, but it has moved upmarket and is extremely good. A slightly limited menu, but really enhanced by the 'amusebouches'. Fairly smple wine list with good choices. Service excellent and very attentive.

I think the last review is unfair. We have come here a lot. We were disappointed to find it seems to have a change of management. It has also had a "facelift" decor wise which is very tasteful.True the service was "sluggish" and the menu limited but all three courses we had plus les amousebouches were spectacular. The wine was good and it was great value for money. The food was definitely worth waiting for. We will certainly come back and we will recommend. It was super easy.Thank you La Passerelle

The sun was shining, it was a beautiful spring day with little or no wind. We had booked a table to celebrate the 39th anniversary of our marriage. Expectations were high when we arrived quarter to one. There were 13 guests at four tables when we sat down. You could feel something in the air. Nobody had food on their table. And there and been none. Frustration was in the air.The menu has 3 starters, three main courses and a today's special, and 3 puddings. Should be easy for the chef to manage. We thought. To make it short, here is our schedule:12:45 arrival12:55 got menu13:15 first mini amuse-guile was served13:30 second ditto13:40 bread and butter arrived13:55 first course arrived14:25 main course arrived15:55 pudding-- we did not have time for coffee.........Food was fine, very fine. But it takes more to satisfy clients.I talked to the chef about the delays, of which he was aware. He said that his kitchen help had taken two days off, and that was the reason for the slow service.I think we should have been warned about he slow service when we made the reservation, or at the latest, upon our arrival.

On a quiet winter lunchtime La Passarelle produced a superb meal, with attentive and warm service. We hadn't booked, but were nonetheless given a table with a splendid view of the Salt marshes. The menu was well balanced, and the wine list included many half as well as whole bottles.

Amazing restaurant in the middle of the Normandy salt marshes leading to the sea on the Cherbourg Peninsula. Views across the marshes with sheep grazing nearby. The restaurant is smartly decorated and the menu refreshingly short. Everything is made in house. I had duo of salmon (smoked and poached) with curry mayonnaise to start and filet of beef with foie gras to follow. Both delicious and very well presented. My husband raved about his duck kebab. Shared a cafe gourmand - perfect. But the best thing was the service. Friendly, helpful, could not have been more accommodating. Great Sunday lunch!

While being a superb, unspoilt tourist area, the Cotentin peninsula of Normandy,is not famed for great restaurants, despite the local seafood right at hand.La Passerelle, a hard to find restaurant, near to Brehal, ticks all the right boxes.Location is superb, looking out to the salt marshes and to the road which can get subrmerged at high tide. The restaurant is light and airy ,decorated in blue and white. The welcome and service is utterly charming. The food is thoughtful and understated.relying on local produce, but not obsessed with mussels and oysters. A set meal for which you might pay 40 euros elsewhere, is an astonishing 28 euros. Wines are well selected and well priced. This is a restaurant worth discovering. I doubt if you will be disappointed.

Wonderful food with perfect service. We were 4 people and as we enjoyed the visual of each plate, we decided to share. That was the right idea to appreciate the diversity and perfect mix of flavor of each meal. For a reasonable price (~30€ per person without wine), you can be reassured that you won't regret it.The place is definitely worth a detour. Thank you "la passerelle"!

We were advised by a friendly local in brehal that this was a wonderful restaurant. .We were made extremely welcome and the food was impeccable. ..We had got there by taxi and when we came to leave the staff insisted a on running us the five mile or so back to our lodging's as they knew a taxi would be expensive...Thank you for your hospitality it was much appreciated.
