Had my birthday lunch here and it did not disappoint. I'm always pretty critical and pay attention to detail; this place kills. I had previously posted that 6eme sens was perhaps the best restaurant in Brive, but it definitely comes in second to la Table d'Olivier. You don't want to miss it. I don't have any photos so you're just gonna have to take my word on this!

This is a small restaurant with about ten tables with a comfortable space between each table, it is nicely decorated and has a relaxed peaceful ambience. It is owned and managed by a husband and wife team with the lady front of house and the husband just behind the counter doing what chefs do. The menu is varied enough to please most people and there is a good wine list. We had the chefs surprise menu which I think was about 7 or 8 tasting dishes. Most of the food coming out from the kitchen was good (especially the mise en bouche given before the main menu which were delicious) there were however 2 dishes that to my mind were a clash of flavours with ingredients badly matched and therefore not pleasant a step too far I think. On the whole we really enjoyed ourselves and felt satisfied that we had a good meal and evening. The price for two in this range was approx £200. My advice if you embark on the tasting menu would be to go through each dish with the front of house to ensure you can tweak out any dish that may worry you. ps. you need to book

Stunning meal with superb presentation. We attended for a special birthday lunch and were not disappointed. The talent shown by the chef with his sauces, foams and flavours were exemplary. A small, highly personalised restaurant which deserves it Michelin star status.

Small place down a little side street, lovely deco, cosy atmosphere, excellent service. The food is just amazing. One of the best eating places in the area, yet so unfussy. The presentation, flavour and quality of the food were perfect. The Chef has got great talent ! With a great wine, the evening was expensive, but well worth it for a special occasion. Booking well in advance is a must.

Went to celebrate our wedding anniversary, expensive but definitely worth it. Small, but this means that the service can be very good. The food was excellent, and next time we have an occasion to celebrate this will be top of our list.

Visited for my wife's 40th birthday and we were blown away. Tiny restaurant with a lovely atmosphere, and excellent service. We had the 6 course tasting menu (even though we actually had 8 courses!!) and the food was amazing. In my wife's words the best meal she has ever eaten. Not cheap but highly recommended

We had the tasting menu and agreed that it was a truly delightful experience. The restaurant is small and decorated in an unfussy elegant way. The service was charming, friendly and impeccable. The food was imaginative, thoughtfully presented and, most importantly, delicious. While not cheap it was worth every penny. We hope to return very soon.
