La Ferme de Panivol in Bussiere-Badil, Dordogne is in the most idyllic spot. At the end of a country lane that leads into nothing but green fields and woodland you are greeted by the sound of bird song and the surprisingly raucous chorusing of frogs in the pond at the bottom of the garden.Guests, as well as the horses, cattle, hens and goats are given free-range to wander as they please. We stayed for a week in the Chambre d'hote and had frequent changes of bed linen and fresh towels - most welcome given the night-time temperatures!. Breakfast and evening meals were served on the lovely terrace, under the shade of fruitful fig trees looking out to fields and woodland.Our hosts, Jean-Michel and Thierry, were so welcoming, attentive and warm - nothing was too much trouble.We feel like we've discovered a little gem and it is a place to which we will return.
well we had some fantastic meals there , but I'd rather you go somewhere else so there's more room for us ... !!No , honestly exeptional ... little aperitif served on the terrace and a lovely homemade meal inside , it's like sitting in someones home dining room , very special as long as you are not fussy and can take it as comes , 2 people will have to have the same dish , 4 people can have two different dishes ... puddings are amazing ... long may it last ... don't forget to visit the toilet ... even if you're color blind ..... ?? no I'm not drunk >>> Little Gem !!! bon appetit !!
Idéalement situé en pleine campagne périgourdine, ce restaurant fera le ravissement de ceux qui aiment la nature et le calme.L'accueil de notre hôte est tout à la fois raffiné et convivial. Le délicat vin de feuilles de cerises servi sur la magnifique terrasse à l' ombre des fichiers nous offre une superbe vue sur un vallon verdoyant.Le repas sera servi dans une belle salle à la decoration authentique sans faute de goût.En entrée, foie gras excellent ou coquilles st Jacques à la cuisson parfaite.Le magret de canard divin est présenté en brochette, accompagné d'une purée de patates douces et pommes de terre sautées persillées.Les trois fromages (2 de chèvre, 1 de vache) qui suivent sont délicieusement à bonne température.La tarte tatin aux abricots qui clôture ce repas est une tuerie...107€ pour 3 personnes : nous reviendrons sans aucune hésitation.
