We have been in le Cassissier several times and it is always a pleasure. the cooking is traditional, no silly smear of Jerusalem/beetroot puree hiding under one leaf of cress! All good, solid, the place is comfortable summer and winter, in and out, tables well spaced. Staff pleasant. for 13.50 a lunch menu what more can one ask?

Have been there several times over the years and went back last month , Run by the family , wife in Restaurant Husband in the Kitchen Here you will always get a good meal , do not expect ***** but you will get good honest French cooking , by nice people Clear that they work hard at what they do and get 10/10 for that ; Unusual for me I can not really find much to moan about , other than to say I have never heard anyone complain about the place , so that says something ;Would I go again ; Oh yes !

Right in the centre of Casteljaloux , Hotel/restaurant operated by Husband & Wife , he cooks and she serves , Very nice couple always friendly , good food , if you want a reasonably priced meal of good quality then am sure this restaurant will be just fine

because this is not an exclusive restaurant, the central concentration of attention is shared, but the service is still very good. the setting around a central bar is well arranged and somewhat intimate, but this does not exclude private entertainment. the food is served quickly...from enough staff and is of a good standard, but not exceptional. we enjoyed our evening after a latic start in 2000 and were able to go back to our accommodation in the bains de casteljaloux.

my wife and I have been fed here for more than 15 years and catherine and rémy fusaro have managed this local business for over thirty years. although the cooking style has changed, the quality of cooking does not have. at our last visit. we had two menu items at 22,50 € each. my wife had an excellent ceps voloute and I had a soup de poisson that was very good. the most important courses were hot with ceps that had a full and rich taste. I had a brochette of duck that was an extra €8 but it was worth it. they were served with carrots, fries and a potato-dauphinoise and an salate. the crème brudel for dessert was delicious and crispy on the top. service is friendly and attentive and we have enjoyed our meal here. the bill came to 82,50 € including a bottle of wine, glass red with the duck and large bottle of badoit, really good value for money. this is certainly a restaurant that we recommend and long can continue it.

in the hope to get a table on a spectacle, we were a bit early, but invited to sit on a table and wait when we wanted. the staff was friendly and attentive, the service was good, and eating edible, and the final cost appropriate. all in all. it was a nice experience for dinner, and reasonable worth as well, would recommend it for decent eating at a fair price, with good service and friendly staff.

I had arranged for lunch for 13 people with a further 7 people having drinks. Although the owner has a limited understanding of English we managed between us to work out what was needed. The food was lovely and very well presented.... a word of...warning we had a 3 course light' lunch and it was huge the salad alone would have been enough. I would certainly go there again....
