Superbe soirée, 3 menus et 1 formule à la carte un samedi soir (réservation conseillée ! . Nous avons été très bien reçus et les plats exquis, bien copieux, à la hauteur de nos attentes. A recommander vivement !

We ordered the menu of the day and had high hopes based on the TA ratings. However, our experience was dominated by a very stressed atmosphere among the waiters during the stay. No eye contact. Not a smile. The staff uttered loud sighs when more guests arrived. It was comical in the end. Food: The starter was a strange sausage-combi sandwich, while the main course was OK, but did not match the price.

Lau Tant'Hic has a high level of ambition and for many dishes it works. Even a rather basic meat/potato/vegetable dish is carefully prepared, perfectly cooked and visually well arranged. Wine list short, but with some good selections. Desserts disappointing though with lack of creativity. A couple of balls of blueberry ice cream with jenever (Dutch gin) poured over them should not even be served.

We visited this restaurant last year while skiing for Week in the town. It was really good so decided to return this year for our last night with our family.but have to say the standard was not the same at all. The three course Meal we ordered was very disappointing,especially the dessert of cold rice pudding,which resembled cold porridge! Unfriendly staff and generally a feeling that we not welcome.plenty of other good restaurants in town ,so I'll not be revisiting this one again .

Really enjoyed the food. We took the bottle of wine at 16 euro which was lovely too. Quite pricey but it was good quality and the staff were helpful. Only not rating 5 stars as I wasn't blown away but it was pretty good stuff and I would recommend it here

Ate here as an unreserved walk in whilst staying in a neighbouring hotel. Set back from the main street in a small arcade, it is quite a small restaurant on two levels. There is some outside seating. What a find! Simple menu but utterly superb. Duck with nectarine cooked to perfection, and lamb cut similarly cooked pink and well presented. The wine list is a range of French regions: not cheap, but acceptable. Waitress was utterly professional. Must go here if staying in Cauterets.

One of the best meals out we have had in Cauterets in nine years of visits. Really made to feel welcome, great atmosphere and really good food. We were even given an Ipad to check the football scores! Great service and we will certainly be back. Many thanks.
