Every village should have a cafe/restaurant like the Atrium. Bar for the locals in the front room, a small sunny outside terrace for a coffee or drink, a good quality, modestly-priced restaurant in large bright back room and a daily changing menu, all home-made.There are several formules at lunch time, with the most reasonable at 13.50€ which includes a buffet starter (crevettes, boulots, often smoked salmon and cured ham!), a plat du jour and a glass of wine and a coffee. Open every lunch time ( except Monday), L'Atrium is only regularly open on Friday and Saturday nights, but the menu in the evening is more elaborate, with more choice. The chef, well-travelled, uses unusual ingredients and puts a lot of thought into presentation. Newly-opened, the Atrium deserves to succeed. It is a beacon of good home-made food at a modest price in an area sorely lacking in such restaurants. But, judging by the tables of large groups of people enjoying family celebrations, it's well on its way to becoming a local institution!
