Stumbled upon this cozy cafe while strolling through Argentiere, and we're so glad we did! The quiche was among the best we've had--rich and creamy, with a perfect crust that wasn't oily or soggy. Also tried the orange flavored cake, which was delicious and not over-sweet. Jasmine green tea was high quality. The woman running the cafe (perhaps the owner?) is very friendly and made us feel right at home. Definitely worth the side trip from Chamonix!

This is a lovely little cafe that one must visit if in Argentiere. They have some amazing variety of teas and good coffee. If you are vegetarian or vegan you will certainly be able to eat a good meal here. Their burgers are delicious too.

Visited specially as it is so hard to find vegan cake. Had a delicious chocolate walnut muffin and soy latte, husband enjoyed a gluten free cake and tea. They do lots of speciality teas which we didn't try on this occasion. Lovely friendly service from the owner. Very easy to find, just a few doors up from the tourist information office and opposite the church.

Okay, here's a great little find in Argentiere. Tete-a-The is just off the main road from Chamonix to the Swiss Border. It serves the most delightful cookies, cakes, quiche, salad, vegetarian burgers and an extensive list of specialist teas. It's small, intimate and the owner is very attentive. I think everything is made here and to order. We loved it, returning four times in our two week holiday because it was so good.Tete-a-The is a small restaurant / informal café in Argentiere. There's a little outside seating consisting of three bistro tables and chairs. Sit outside and enjoy the peace, just below the slopes of the Grand Montets and glacier. On a warm afternoon you'll appreciate the shade. Alternatively, there's half dozen tables inside when it's chilly. The menu is small but delicious. The theme is exclusively vegetarian. Your salad is made to order by the owner and topped off with the best quiche lorraine I have ever tasted. The vegetarian burger is wonderful too. Go too late in the afternoon and the best treats will have disappeared as I suspect the owner runs the business to an ethical set of values, including minimal waste. The owner is friendly, attentive and the presentation and quality of her food is superb. She seems to run the whole place on her own so, if it's a bit busy (that's a relative term due to the small size of Tete-a-The, then she will explain that there will be a delay and you'll need to be patient. But why not, you're on holiday so there's no need to rush and the owner doesn't juggle clients but is open with them on arrival. It's expressed very kindly but you might be taken by surprise - so don't give up but settle down and enjoy.Special mention goes to the loo (singular). Modern and spotless. All dishes are prepared in full view of the customers, prepared to order and in sequence of arrival. Be aware that the menu is limited - the owner does what she does very, very well by focusing upon a small number of vegetarian dishes rather than compromising on quality by offering a greater choice. We spotted this place on TripAdvisor before beginning our holiday in the scenic hamlet of Les Frasserands just above Argentiere. We can honestly say that all of the other reviews are spot-on. Tete-a-The is five stars.Highly recommended.Arianne

Hidden opposite the church in Argentiere this is no the easiest or first restaurant you find in the village but it is worth looking for. Nice lunch menus with soup, veggie burgers and desert at reasonable price and a massive tea menu.

I went here for tea with a friend and was positively surprised by the great selection of different, exotic tea. They really have something for everyone. The cakes are just fabulous! The service is great too. I'd definitely suggest a visit when in Argentiere :)

I've been here a number of times and each time I am delighted! Lovely, delicious, fresh and healthy. What a nice change from what's offered around the valley. Service is so warm and welcoming too! Can't wait to go again!!

This small restaurant-tea parlor is run by Ines, very sweet and friendly. They bake and cook all the cakes and dishes. An excellent place for breakfast, lunch or a relaxing cup of tea or coffee any time of the day.
