Unfortunately, it wasn't that good. if that wasn't playing michelin, I would have rated it higher, but it is. that was not on the way, and the prizes were ridiculous. $16 for a local gin and tonic? obscene. the personal was very attentive and well trained. the food was enough from the bean until I could not eat what I did not for one of the courses. I have expected a lot more and think that much more should be given. it wasn't the cost or worth a star. there are far better restaurants in amboise that are half cost, but with double food quality.

we had a nice window seat for our dinner. we chose the 5 cursor menu and it was exquisite! all dishes were light, elegant and tasty. what a wonderful gastronomic experience!

eating at the chateau du pray is a special experience. our lobster main course and all the other courses were delicious. the service was accurately orchestrated by a full team of servers.

Our dinner was fantastic: meal, service, and location all excellent. Each piece was inventive and beautiful, as well as delicious. Watching the sun set from the terrace was an added bonus.

Excellent staff who provided an astoundingly astute, quick and informative service they really made the entire experience and I couldn't speak more highly of them. In terms of the food I'm less enthusiastic; there is wonderful interplay between all the classic elements of salt, fat, acidity, crunchy and soft. However it all just kind of fell flat, it's difficult to put into words but when consider a Michelin star one is hoping for at least very good where here it felt mediocre at best, the technique was on point as where all the technicals but it felt lacking in heart or passion. The Blue Lobster was tough, more akin to shrimp than lobster, and the razor Clams while having a variety of texture had been pureed into a kind of seafood custard which was difficult to choke down at times. The cheese course was fine but by this point I was tired and eager to move on. Overall the experience was OK, but if you have high hopes I would look elsewhere.

The service was wonderful and the food was fantastic (one of the best meals I have ever had). Highly recommended!

The food was very good and the presentations were wonderful. Service was a little slow.
