Stopped here on a trip to buy Laguiole knives at source. We were a bit late and half the diners had finished and we were told that the chef had to go in 15 minutes but we could stay if we took what was available and were very glad we did. An excellent pitcher of house wine, home made pate, delicious and authentic knuckle of pork in Puy lentils followed by a home made chausson de pommes with top quality pastry. The cooking seemd to come from an earler, better era and best of all, the bill (€26 for two!) seemed to come from ages past as well. The restaurant is part of a association called Restauratrices d'Auvergne, which connects the female chefs of the Auvergne and if the Moulin des Templiers is anything to go by, they will all be worth visiting.Although trip advisor and the guides list it under Chaudes Aigues, i's actually about 6kms south on the D921, near Jabrun.

They're a bit expensive, but the food is very goodWe ordered our food for take out, and found the portion sizes to be a little on the small side.
