Just had a supper meal at this lovely auberge. Gourmet menu at 38 Euros a head, well worth it. Super host, food very well cooked and presented. Lovely bottle of local wine. Lovely setting. Definitely worth visiting, we'll go again.

I chose this on booking.com (sorry TripAdvisor) as it was relatively close to the Motorway. We were travelling from Italy to North West France and needed a hotel roughly mid point. After a long 9 hour drive we were delighted to cruise into a sleepy little town in the heart of France. A beautiful building near the most picturesque church. We walked in and worked out we were one of very few hotel guests. We were shown to our room by a lovely chap who's English was much better than our French. The room was small but perfectly adequate, with a good sized bathroom. The only downside was (obviously due age of the building and original purpose), no windows in the room. It was quite warm and a bit stuffy. This also meant it was slightly warm overnight. The star of the show was the phenomenal dinner. We went for the full four course set menu with our choice of dishes for each. Each dish was presented with Michelin precision, flavoured perfectly, balanced supremely. The prefect bread, perfect dessert. Perfect service. Its worth it. If we're passing again we'd definitely try and stop. But I might not be for a few years. But it'd be worth the wait. If you are anywhere nearby and need somewhere to stop or eat. Try it.

This is a pleasant place with good food and service at a reasonable price. Clearly much appreciated by the French locals. The outside dining on the garden terrace is particulary attractive.

Exquisite, I need say no more ... but will. The gourmet déjeuner prepared and served by Michel and William was absolutely superb. The wine was excellent. We sat at a lovely table under an olive tree ...

This was our first visit since the restaurant changed ownership in 2015 and we will certainly be back! The food was very good , reasonably priced and a limited but good local wine list.

We dined here twice during our week in a local cottage, once with a reservation (necessary at weekends) and once without, and were welcomed warmly on both occasions. Champagne is offered by the glass at a very reasonable 6€, and the prix fixe menus at 28€ and 36€ (42€ at weekends) are very good value. The former brought a generous portion of top-quality smoked salmon followed by beautifully cooked fish (red mullet on one occasion and sea-bream on the other) or meat: magret de canard was a highlight. Sweets very nice - no extra charge if you chose cheese instead. Good choice of wines, both regional and from further afield, at most acceptable prices.

Fabulous meal, great wine. Lovely garden, well presented definitely recommend it. The fixed 28€ meal was delicious.

The old Auberge de Cheval Blanc seemed to have lost its mojo, so we were anxious to try out the new chef who took over in the Fall. We were not disappointed - in fact, the food was delicious and the service excellent. Both chef Bernard & manager Michel were warm and welcoming, giving special attention to our friend with minor dietary restrictions. For the quality, the €28 three-course menu was a bargain, and we will definitely be back soon.
