The chicken was over cooked and very tough. The food was tasteless and the waitress didn't really care that we didn't like our food. Avoid at any cost. Over priced food that tastes disgusting.

Had dinner on a very quiet sunday. My beer was great and my burger superb. Unfortunately my partners choice of Flamkuche was disappointing. Not up to the Alsace version!

Nice Restaurant with a fairly good variety of food. Service was good and value was good. A good Atmosphere

Very friendly and professional service. The place is nicely furnished and well laid out. The flammkueche are made on site, and very good. Excellent beer selection, too.

Whilst the usual shopping centre restaurant, burgers etc. It was tasty and good service. Dessert was good. Wide selection of beers.

We were in Calais for the day and dropped in to Cite Europe. We walked round the the large selection of restaurants just before 12 noon. Some would not serve us because they did not open until 12 but a charming waitress invited us in to Le Comptoir du Malt and settled us down with a drink and a English menu. Not surprising the wine was much cheaper than in England at about £3 for two medium glasses but the beer was more expensive being about £3.50 for half a pint.We both choose pizzas as there was a stone pizza oven and I opted for the "house special" which was a mixture of ham and cheese with a fried egg on the top. It was very well cooked and came out nice and hot. The base was thin and there was plenty of ham and cheese toppings something lacking in some restaurants. We did not eat anything else and the bill come up quickly and two pizzas and two drinks came to about £25. I would recommend this restaurant if you was in Cite Europe and wanted a quick, good and economical meal.

Have been here many times across the years as part of our annual wine run. Food is lovely with a good variety on offer at reasonable prices, however the draw for me has always been the lovely beers on offer, worth a visit for this alone!

I didn't expect much when calling in for lunch at 13:45 on a Saturday but was pleasantly surprised. The service was friendly and efficient and we were seated in a minute. Drinks order was taken a few minutes later and lunch (Flammeküeche and a Pizza) ordered a little later. Drinks arrived in moments and the lunch was to us within 10 minutes of ordering. Nothing great or bad about the food, reasonably tasty and fairly priced. Compared to some of the restaurants and inattentive staff nearby in Cite Europe this was a pleasant surprise. Be aware the menu is in French only. Recommended for cheap/moderately priced eats and good service.
