My partner and I dined here tonight after we booked a table in advance. I am so happy we came across this pub on Trip Advisor as it is off the beaten track but what a hidden gem it truly is. As soon as we stepped in the door we received a warm welcome with a menu already placed on the table for us. We both had steak and each one was cooked to perfection, the cheesy garlic bread was amazing also and pudding was just as good and there was a nice selection of cakes on the counter too. I am not sure where to begin, but I feel compelled to write a review for this restaurant because it truly deserves recognition. In summary, the food is reasonably priced, portions are generous, beautifully presented, and tastes as good as it looks. The drink selection is also reasonably priced and offers a great variety. The staff is absolutely amazing. My sister, my two young daughters, and I had a fantastic time during our visit on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant features live music on Sundays, and the band even allowed my 6-year-old to join them on stage to sing. From the moment we arrived until we left, everything was top-notch. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

A wonderful country pub set in the heart of this lovely village. Having played here with our band the previous weekend and been warmly welcomed by everyone, we returned to sample the delights of their menu. And what a treat! We had the tiger prawns with crusty bread, chicken goujons with a lime, ginger and soy salad, and the seafood selection chips basket meal. All 3 meals and 2 drinks came to a total of about £27 tremendous value for what were very generous platefuls, and all of first class quality. I would highly recommend eating, drinking and enjoying a live music event here. Thankyou Midge and your fantastic team we will definitely be back.

Amazing food and great atmosphere here in this friendly traditional local pub set in the heart of beautiful Metherell. The owner Midge was wonderfull talking to us about the local area and what it's like to live and work in Metherell even giving us a small guided tour! We would definitly reccomend visiting here especially as they host so much live music in the evenings! Réservez une table maintenant

Spot on service by very pleasant and helpful staff. The menu was preselected before we arrive so dinner arrived promptly. Three children ate everything which is unusual! Four adults thoroughly enjoyed their meals which were reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

We go regularly to the Carpenters Arms and love it. The landlady is very welcoming. The food is delicious, well cooked and nicely presented. Great atmosphere and dog friendly. Thoroughly recommend.

The food at this beautiful old country pub is amazing and lovely. The portions are plentiful and home cooked. The chunky chips and lasagne were some of the best I've had in a long time. Réservez une table maintenant
