My wife, dog, and I visited this restaurant and found it to be very welcoming for both dogs and wives. The food was delicious, especially the Calamari and Steak and Ale pie. We had the pleasure of getting to know the staff during subsequent visits and found them to be friendly and instrumental in creating a warm atmosphere. The Head Chef, Sita, was not only lovely and friendly but also a talented chef who came to chat with us at the end of her shift. Her coworker, Jack, was also a fantastic chef and very friendly. This is a lovely building with fantastic potential. For drinks it's good. Saturday evening meal, well let's see. The authentic sour dough pizza Margareta was akin but not nearly as good as a lidl deep pan pizza. £12.50. Kids burger served on a cold dry roll. The burger was so cold it hadn't even melted the standard (but expected) plastic cheese slice. My son enjoyed his kids fish and chips. The chargrilled chicken burger was served on a similar dry roll, a limp leaf of lettuce and 2 slices of tomato. The chicken was dry and some was so tough and hard it was inedible. During our stay at Bowland Fell Caravan Park, we unfortunately had a negative dining experience at this restaurant. Despite having a group of 9 people, the bar manager was unhelpful and rude, which upset a family member. The food was of poor quality, with small portions suitable for toddlers and clearly microwaved. The bar staff, except for the manager, were friendly and accommodating. However, the waiting staff lacked interest in providing good service, showing no smiles or apologies for the subpar food. Additionally, there was a lack of cutlery on the tables or near the service station. Overall, our experience was disappointing and we would not recommend this restaurant.
The food at this restaurant is absolutely terrible. It feels like a complete rip-off to purchase anything. The pizzas are all frozen Chicago Town pizzas, and the prices are not worth it. Everything on the menu is frozen and of poor quality. While the restaurant looks nice and has potential, they really need to hire a skilled chef instead of just someone who can heat up pre-made meals. I would suggest only going for drinks and avoiding wasting your money on the food. Instead, head to the Old Vicarage down the road for a better dining experience. Réservez une table maintenant
the eating here is exceptional and the chef has always gone the extra mile to make sure our eating is enjoyed and needs time to have a chat. the place where it is located has an old world charm, but also modern, it has an open fire that is very welcoming on a winter day. the renter is very friendly and always gives a warm welcome. I will certainly return.
