Double Locks Pub - Réservation de table

I often cycle to this pub in the summer time from Dawlish Warren. Its a lovely cycle ride, although a little narrow uin places, but one of the things that keeps me going is knowing that when i get to this pub I will be able to enjoy a beer and some good food in the summer sun. Gets very busy in the summer, with cyclists, walkers and tourists but its a lovely location and great to sit outside and watch the world go by. Its quite small inside and probably not the best pub to visit in the winter but its the best in the summer. Looking forward to summer 2009 now!

Waitress didn’t bring condiments or ask if we wanted any, had to walk 40 yds in and 40 yds out again to get them myself, no sugar brought out with hot drinks, asked for sugar, waitress brought out unwrapped sugar lumps carried in her open hand and dropped them on a serving tray. When suggesting this wasn’t a great way to deliver food she got very arse’y about it, the tip she got was ‘Learn manners or get out of the hospitality trade before you’re sacked’. Won’t be back, meal deal in Asda instead, better service.

Short walk, popped in for 2 pints of shandy,given that half is cordial lemonade,20p short of £12,and they were in plastic cups that were nearl a 100ml short of a pint(took home and measured)so not only over charged,but robbed aswell,having no competition so greed is key to this establishment,won't be going back or recommending to anyone.

I had an incredible roast dinner with a lovely presentation at this restaurant. The pub is set in a stunning location and the staff are very friendly. The autumn Halloween theme decor outside is also beautiful. I highly recommend coming here for the roast dinner. Réservez une table maintenant

Such a beautiful pub! We come for a Sunday roast and it was just delicious. We had the chicken sharer for two and it could have fed four of us! The Christmas decor is beautiful and all the staff are really friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!

Great food! Lovely atmosphere and staff. We ordered cod and chips Pie and chips and 2 kids meals and all the food was excellent very fresh. Could tell it was all top ingredients. Would defo recommend and come again

Came here today for the 1st time and while the pub itself and the location is beautiful plus they allow dogs the food was a massive let down the menu is very very limited and rather expensive for the portion sizes. Réservez une table maintenant

Great food, sticky toffee pudding ‘oh my god, to die for’ made very welcome, great staff, we always come back here with our 2 dogs when we’re in the area. Wouldn’t go any where else

A lovely cosy, welcoming pub in a great position on the canal. Roaring fires, great food and friendly and efficient staff.
