Good place to people-watch in a lovely square, over wine, beer or coffee. My wife's salad looked good, but my hamburger was a bit too greasy. Chips were okay. Hamburger, chips and a small salad came to 9.50euros. Service was good.

I only go here when the Cafe de Paris is full.You can get a good beer, and real ale which is brewed locally,It's really a English hangout and it's a bit clickly.

Having lived near the restaurant for 31/2 years and never going in due to the poor reputation, we went in today for the first time. We had reason to complain about the food but the waiter covered in sweat stained shirt front and back yuk ! came out and had a complete strop, whereas they could of corrected the problem for under a euro. He created a scene with a "tough you will have to pay for it now attitude " he went on for a few mins when we said just "forget it" At the end of the meal my husband said can I just say your customer service is truly rude and appalling and I will be letting people know on the internet . His answer was I was told to tell you that !!! As I said we live in the area and can say all the other pubs and restaurants in the area are far better and would recommend just as those on page two of these reviews have done to just AVOID the place ,

arrivés par hasard sur Eymet, nous nous promenions sur la place et regardions les menus des restaurants (qui foisonnent il faut bien le dire). Le pub gambetta n'affichai pas vraiment de menu et semblait plutôt être un bar donc nous allions passer notre chemin. mais mon mari a vu une ardoise qui tenait la porte indiquant la possibilité de manger des tapas/mezzé (naans, houmous et autres saveurs proposés). Certes il n'y avait pas grand monde dans le village mais ce pub semblait vide ce qui nous a fait hésiter. Nous avons tenté notre chance... et là, chapeau ! vraiment pas déçus : savoureux, copieux, original et à petit prix. Service agréable et rapide et un choix de bières impressionnant. Je recommande vivement.

I think it is better placed for having a drink rather than a meal. The food was okay, service pleasant. They had sold out of most things on the menu so we opted for jambon grille with frites. It was okay but not something I would chose again.

Relaxed and casual. Lovely patio on square when warm. Regular music Friday nights. Homemade french fries are a delight. English spoken.

not much choice and not a very nice venue. very basic. could do with a revamp. no atmosphere, puts on good entertainment sometimes.

We ate here one evening when there was a live band playing. We got the last table so reservations are probably best made. The food was tasty; we had the jambon grille which we always go for, living in a non pork country. It was delicious and the owners and staff were very charming and entertaining. It was full of Brits as expected since we are in Dordogneshire in Eymet. Good fun though. Thank you..
