My family and I where practically expelled from the restaurant because we where having a nice after dinner chat and the manager had to get fresh clients. Is this fair? If this is the policy they better consider evolving into a fast food place. Anyway food wasn't great.

We tried again to get a seat at the little restaurant further down the road but it was closed on a Monday as we found out. The Bistro looked interesting, modern and inviting. So gave it a try, ordered the Aujourd Hui Boeuf, a plate for two, consisting of two small steaks with frites cost €25.80 No too bad I guess, my fault but I don't like steaks covered in some fancy doolally sauce, I like it very rare with salt and pepper, 12 oz plus, inch plus thick, cave man style. This steak failed to meet the grade in all departments, again, I do not blame the restaurant, you may like it. Sat inside.near the window, hot, no ac, A small bottle of 1664 and a much smaller bottle of orange juice of sorts, total bill €33. Did not bother with the usual photos,

We stumbled on this place in a rainstorm and were very pleased. As noted, the menu is limited, but both the salmon and the duck were tasty and the frites were superb. For 13€ (plus wine and coffee) it's a great bargain in Bordeaux, near St. Andre and the museums.

This restaurant is across the car park from the Premiere Classe Hotel in Eysines, Bordeaux. After a long day 's driving we were delighted to have a restaurant so close to our hotel especially one with an outside eating area on such a lovely warm evening. The menu came as a shock. The Plat du Jour was printed onto the paper place settings. As there were only four choices steak (cooked), duck, salmon or steak tartare we assumed that there would be a comprehensive printed menu available. Wrong. That was it take it or leave it!. Well, can you do us an omelette, please? Non! The Plat du Jour was only €12.90 including chips with a €2 supplement for salad or sauce. We duly ordered from the menu like good little boys. When the food came it was very nicely cooked and came with a MASSIVE bowl of the best chips I have ever tasted. We rose to the occasion and just about managed to eat all the chips they were double fried and absolutely gorgeous. Given that we were sat in a suburb of Bordeaux, one of the largest wine growing areas, the wine was surprisingly expensive. The house red was €12.90 per bottle but drinkable. Others were over €25 per bottle. That is scandalous. Despite the relatively low price of the Plat du Jour by the time we had eaten main course and pudding, had a couple of bottles of wine and coffees the total bill was over €140. But for those superb, glorious chips I would mark this restaurant down further. It is far from cheap (as it tries to make out) but the food is well cooked and tasty. By all means eat there but be warned about choice and cost.
