Have visited this restaurant for the last 15 years and was surprised by the new end exciting interior. However the new owners have maintained the outstanding quality of the menu with lots of local products. Not as many interludes though.

We visited the recently remodeled and re-owned restaurant last night and were very pleasantly surprised. Decor was simple and refined without being "too much", and the food was amazing. From start to finish everything was perfect. Not only was the taste and presentation perfect, but there was always a little "twist" on the expected that left all 4 of us wanting to come back!

We ate here after being recommended by the owner of the B and B we were staying in. We had the €30 menu which was delicious. Lovely service and tasty well presented food. Definitely recommend.

Came here in June after a long absence, visited again on the 15th of October for Saturday Lunch, and found that to my horror(at first) that it had changed hands. New paintings on the walls (of local places), new table cloths and napkins, new cutlery, but I was delighted to find the wait staff, were the same, and remembered us, the young tall waiter who took my wine order, just said(in French) " Do you want the Graves, Chateaux La Croix, again? Now that's what I call good service,.The menu has changed, but for the better, some times the combinations the previous chef did, didn't quite work, now they are perfect . No a la carte menu but, 4 set menus at 30, 35, 48 and one that changes frequently. We had the 35 one, Foie Gras with stripes of pain d,epice (gingerbread) in it and a marvellous freshly made fruit chutney, excellent. I then had Turbot fillet, beautifully cooked on a mound of mashed potato and celariac, encircled by a good amount of truffle sauce, brilliant and was delighted to given a proper sauce spoon/knife, to cut with and scoop up the delicious sauce. We don't have them in the UK. My chum had a delicious hunk of Charolais, cooked perfectly. Deserts were equally as good, a huge rum baba with fruit and cream and a glass of rum to pour over and soak into the sponge. I had red wine marinated figs, roasted and served with home made ice cream, all in all, a wonderful meal. I spoke to the new owner Adeline, who told me that she and her chef husband had moved down to Favieres from Boulogne in June, they ran the "Table de Nicholas" there. When we came here in June, there were only 9 other diners there, this time 40, and all French, which speaks for itself, and they also had 20-30, in another room for a family birthday meal. If you are going there on a Saturday, I would advise an early booking, it opens at noon for lunch. The service we had was excellent, but for people who came in later, the service slowed down a bit.,I can,t wait to go there again!

I was delighted to find that this restaurant was still in Favirres, The last time I ate here was with my wife just before she passed away in 2005. We discovered it many years before when we drove down to the Somme for a day out, discovered Le Crotoy, fell in love with it and tried most of the restaurants there, nothing to write home about till we tried this place, not far from Le Crotoy, and on subsequent visits never ate anywhere else on our visits th the area. The food was always of a high standard, and always interesting, combinations which worked well together. So with some trepidation I took my best chum there and was totally delighted as nothing much had changed, it still looked fresh as it did all those years ago. The food was excellent and the 30 Euro menu, great value. We both enjoyed the little in between course nibbles and definitely weren',t rushed for the next course. Had a wonderfull bottle of white wine, it was so good it didn't need a wine cooler or bucket. Have read the previous 2 entries, both full of typical English niggles, disagree with their findings, but as taste is such a personal thing, allow them their thoughts, so different from mine. I will be returning here very soon, to enjoy such good food and ambiance, and on old happy memories, start new ones.
