Over the course of the Summer we used the Restaurant for lunch on several occasions accompanied by friends and relatives in various groups between four and ten persons. Generally there were at least two but up to four children with us.The daily 'Menu midi' at €12.00 was always varied and often came with some surprise dishes as it was not quite what one was expecting. The food was always well cooked and presented and the Staff were quite accommodating when it came to the children. Whilst there is a small choice of what is offered for the children, the chef would prepare special lunches for them providing you asked and he had the ingredients.Local Rose or White wine is served at €9.00 a liter and there is a good selection of soft drinks but notably, no apple juice for the kids. This newly built and opened Restaurant is complete internally but certain works need to be completed to the terrace area. The decor is very pleasant and the ambiance is good. The staff are very friendly and most speak limited English. They Staff also have a sense of humor. When I asked if I could have a 'Carte de Fidelite', they saw they funny side and provided complimentary Cognacs by way of a gesture! This Restaurant has come as a breath of fresh air to Gareoult, and I welcome them to our village.
