My family was referred to this restaurant by the local fire department. Otherwise we would have never found it. We came in for a late lunch. Their prices are good for the amount of food you get. Salad/appetizer bar, main course with several dishes to choose from, cheese, dessert, and the local apple drink were all part of the €15 we paid per person. Fortunately for us there was a very nice couple at the table next to us who helped with the translation between us and the waitress/owner/daughter. We would have eaten, but her help was welcomed. It was a lot of fun seeing how the locals do lunch. If you're in the area and want a little more down to earth French experience, give them a try.
We came across this place by sheer chance. The food looked good and a lot of local workmen were having lunch there. The host was very friendly and made us welcome although we did not see any other staff helping her. Could do with a bit of a makeover but would not stop us from returning.
We decided to "give it a go"...and, for us (a family of four adults), it was a hoot, a real taste of unpretentious France and the combination of locals, a bunch of telephone engineers and local electricians etc enjoying a four course meal on a workday - was great. Owner's wife delightful and put up with our terrible french with good humour. Buffer starters great. Pork and Cider, Tourguile (rice pudding) and cheeses and coffees all top notch - great sauces and very "Home Cooking" - all for 12Euros 90 each (drinks extra but the "pichet" of cidre was local). Don't expect airs and graces, but that was one of the best meals we've had in France. Bit of a "find" in our estimation but do allow 2hrs to eat all the food and to stagger away full and satiated!
Nothing special.Nice welcome, it was very quiet but the week before xmas.Good selection of buffet starter. We had curried chicken and jamboneau, both served with home-made chips. Both ok, but nothing special. Fromage for me - ok - dessert was a fairly standard choice of tarte, creme, glaces etc. Coffee quite nice.All said, 13e for the formule was reasonable value, but as said, nothing special.
