We had to visit this restaurant twice and would have gone a third time if we weren’t traveling back to England. The food is fantastic and the service very efficient. I can honestly say this is one of the best meals I’ve had out. If you are staying in the area it’s a must.The couple who own La P’titE Marmite run the show with her working the restaurant and him in the kitchen. Both speak excellent English and are happy to explain the menu to you. I can’t rate this place high enough. Children are welcome and they do have a simpler menu for the under tens.
Je me faisais une joie de découvrir cette nouvelle version de "La petite marmite" mais quelle déception...la cuisine est bonne mais ni plus ni moins malheureusement l'amabilité de la serveuse qui est la patronne n'est pas à la hauteur. Je ne sais pas si c'est le fait de ne pas savoir gérer la pression d'un "gros" service (44 personnes pour 2 serveuses) ou si c'est son caractère mais elle est désagréable et manque totalement de respect vis à vis du client. Du coup même si c'est bon je ni retournerai pas même pour boire un verre...c'est dommage
sans doute pas arrivés au bon moment pour prendre un café et résever pour le midi après une randonnée cycliste, nous nous sommes faits ouspillés au prétexte que nos vélos risquaient d'abimer les fleurs. Dommage car la carte et les avis des précédents clients donnaient envie.
We were staying near by in a rented house and were very excited when we found this quality restaurant so close by. We decided to visit on a Friday night but it was not normal business that night as there was a festival and markets. The owner immediately welcomed us and said not a problem what would we like to eat. He made superb meals for a party of 7 without question. We ate 3 courses and all of it was fantastic. We had no idea what we were getting other then chicken, fish or beef but all of us enjoyed the fantastic food. It is an interesting little place with a large expat clientele but that really added to the ambiance as we sat having dinner with a live band in this little square in Gourge.
